Eligibility for IIT Patna M.Tech Admission 2021

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech. Programme of the Institute shall have to possess a minimum of 60% marks (or a CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale) for General/OBC categories and 55% marks (or a CGPA of 6.0 in 10 point scale) for SC/ST categories in the final qualifying examination.

Selection is based on performance in GATE for Regular and Full time category this year. For other categories (Project Staff, Parttime and Sponsored), written test/interview shall be conducted.

Application Fee for IIT Patna M.Tech Admission 2021

Application Fee of Rs. 300/- (for Gen/EWS/OBC candidates) and Rs.150/- (for ST/SC/PD/Female candidates) must be submitted through an online module.

Full-time Regular eligible for Assistantship/Fellowship: In campus student who can register for up to full permissible credits per semester. A full-time student with a valid GATE Score can also get financial support from sponsored research project funded by an industry or a government agency at a rate equivalent to or higher than MHRD stipulated rate.

IIT Gandhinagar M.Tech Admission 2021

IIT Gandhinagar M.Tech Admission 2021 invites applications to M.Tech. programmes in Biological Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Earth System Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering for the year 2021-2022. The M.Tech. the curriculum at IIT Gandhinagar has been designed to be highly creative with a focus on interdisciplinary skills and high-quality thesis work. IIT Gandhinagar also offers the option of a post-graduate diploma in engineering (PGDIIT), which is a one year programme designed to be an intensive course-work based programme with no thesis requirements.

Eligibility: IIT Gandhinagar M.Tech Admission 2021

Minimum of 55% marks / 5.5 (on a 10 point scale) in B.E. /B.Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent in appropriate branches (50% marks for SC /ST)
Candidates who have a valid GATE score (at the time of interview/written test) are eligible to apply for M.Tech. GATE is not required for application to M.Tech. on a part-time basis or for the PGDIIT programme.
B.Tech. graduates from the IITs with CGPA/CPI of 8.0 or above (on the scale of 10) would be eligible to admission without having to appear in GATE

The eligibility criteria mentioned above is minimum and the disciplines may use higher cut-off levels for shortlisting. Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories would be eligible for relaxations, as per norms, in the selection criteria.

Financial Support

Eligible candidates admitted to full-time M.Tech. the programme will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs.12,400/-. The students in PGDIIT/ M.Tech. on Part time basis will not receive any stipend/scholarship.

Travel Scholarships

Institute encourages M.Tech. students to present their research work at national and international conferences and provides travel scholarships of up to Rs. 60000/- to such students.

Admission Procedure: IIT Gandhinagar M.Tech Admission 2021

Admission is generally offered on the basis of a written test and interview. The Institute will invite a limited number of applicants for a written test and interview based on the academic records and/or GATE score. The Institute reserves the right to use its own judgment while determining the candidate’s level of competency based on the available information. The final selection will be based on all of the above, viz., academic records, GATE score, written test and interview. The Institute may also exercise the option of offering admission to a few outstanding candidates based on academic record and/or GATE, without calling them for written test and interview.

The written test is generally based on the topics related to general aptitude (logical reasoning, analytical and numerical ability, etc.), engineering mathematics, and basic courses in various disciplines up to a 3rd year of the undergraduate programme. The candidates who do not qualify in the written test need not appear for the interview. The reserved category candidates will be given due relaxation in cutoff marks as per the norms. Considering the covid-19 scenario, interview and written test (if any) will happen via online platform.

Admission will be made on the basis of Normalized GATE Marks only. The Normalized GATE marks will be calculated as follows:

Admission to Postgraduate programmes in different academic programmes such as M.Tech./M.Arch./M.U.R.P. degrees for full time regular students with MHRD assistantship will be made on the basis of valid Normalized GATE marks only. Sponsored candidates may be admitted through an Interview/Written Test.

Financial Assistance

Financial assistance in the form of Half-Time Teaching Assistantship (HTTA) at the rate of Rs.12,400/- p.m. (tenable for a maximum period of 24 months) will be awarded to Indian Nationals doing the M.Tech. Programmes, subject to Institute rules. HTTA students are required to assist the department for 8 hours of work per week related to academic activities of the department such as laboratory demonstration, tutorials, evaluation of assignments, test papers, seminars, research projects, etc.

Minimum Eligibility for IIT Madras MTech Admission 2021

FOR GATE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES

Candidates qualified in GATE 2019, GATE 2020 or GATE 2021 and satisfying any one of the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture from educational Institutions approved by AICTE/ Government
Master’s degree in Chemistry/ Life Sciences/ Mathematics/ Physics related subjects from educational Institutions approved by UGC/ Government
Degrees obtained through Distance Education/ Correspondence Mode for the qualifying degree. The Departments will follow the suitability test/ interview procedure for screening in such cases.
Candidates yet to appear or have appeared in the final examination for the qualifying degree and whose results are likely to be declared by July 15, 2021.

Application for Joint M.Tech/MCP-Ph.D programme is to be submitted only by an ONLINE process by accessing the website (link given below).

Fee payment has to be made online only and all the necessary qualifying certificates and documents such as caste certificates, PwD certificates etc have to be uploaded online at the time of submitting the application. Hardcopy of the application and documents are not required.

The application fee is Rs. 500/- for GE/OBC/EWS Male/Transgender Candidates and Rs. 250/- for all Female or PwD/SC/ST Candidates. The application fee is non-refundable.

Financial Assistance for IIT Kanpur M.Tech Admission 2021

Financial Assistance will be available only for Regular Candidate. The Student will get stipend of Rs. 12,400/- per month for the next two years.

Application Fees for IIT Kanpur M.Tech Admission 2021

Rs. 500 for General, EWS, OBC and OBC-NCL candidates.
Rs.250 for SC/ST and all DAP candidates.

IIT Bhilai invites applications for admission to M.Tech programs in various disciplines for the session starting from July 2021.

Eligibility criteria for IIT Bhilai M.Tech Admission 2021

A. Applicants must have ONE of the following in appropriate subject areas.

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology with first class, 60% marks or equivalent (55% marks for SC/ST)
Master’s degree in science or equivalent degree, with first class, 60% marks or equivalent (55% marks for SC/ST).

B. Applicants must also fulfill ONE of the following additional requirements.

Valid GATE Score (refer Table 1 for Discipline specific criteria).
CPI/CGPA of 8.0 in B.Tech, if done from an IIT.

An ongoing degree may also be considered as a qualifying degree provided the applicant graduates before the MTech program starts. Discipline specific requirements are given in below Table.
