IISc Bangalore offers Master of Technology (M.Tech), Master of Design (M.Des) and Master of Management (M.Mgt). IISc Bangalore admits about 450 students every year for its course programmes. The number includes about 50 sponsored applicants from the Defense Services, Defense Research, and Development Organization, Indian Space Research Organization, BARC, NAL, CPRI, KSRTC, BMTC, PWD and BDA, faculty members from engineering colleges under the Quality Improvement Programmes.

Notes:

  • For M.Tech and M.Des programmes applicant can choose to apply for up to a maximum of 5 disciplines . Applicants with qualification in BE / B Tech or an equivalent degree must have qualified and hold valid GATE score card as on 2nd August 2021.
  • For the M Des Programme – Candidates with qualifications in BE/ B Tech/ B Des/ B Arch degrees, should have qualified in GATE or CEED and hold a valid score card as on 2nd August 2021.

Eligibility for IISc Bangalore M.Tech Admission 2021

All the candidates should be qualified in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE 2019 /2020 / 2021) for  admission.

Additional notes:

  • Second class is the minimum requirement for IISc Bangalore M.Tech admission course programmes. and for M.Mgt a FIRST CLASS (as declared by the University) or an equivalent grade in the qualifying examination as indicated against each department

M.Des Programme

After screening based on the GATE / CEED score, an online written test and interview will be conducted by the department. Selection Weightage will be 70% for GATE/CEED score and 30% for the written test/interview.

How to Apply for IISc Bangalore M.Tech Admission 2021

“The applicants applying for the Regular M.Tech/MDES (through GATE) Programme must register themselves on COAP 2021 portal, and update their COAP registration number at the IISc admission portal.”

Step 1: Register with your e-mail (preferably Gmail) address and a password to start the online application process by creating a new user account.  (Link is given below). Email ID used to register cannot be changed later.

Step 2: Log in to the website to fill the application form.

Application Fees for IISc Bangalore M.Tech Admission 2020

The application fee is Rs 800/- for GN/OBC/EWS & Rs.400 for SC/ST/PH candidates, bank charges extra.

Qualification for IIIT DELHI M.Tech Admission 2019

For CSE: B.Tech/BE or MCA/MSc in CS/IT (& its allied areas) with a CGPA of at least 7.00 out of 10 or 65% marks.

For ECE: B.Tech/BE in ECE/EE (& its allied areas) or MSc in Electronics (for ECE) with a CGPA of at least 7.00 out of 10 or 65% marks.

For CB: B.Tech/BE in CS/IT/Math-and-Computing. or B.Tech/BE in any other discipline/ MCA/ MSc. Selection Process of IIIT DELHI M.Tech Admission 2019

The selection process of IIITD M.Tech Admission 2019 consists of the following three stages:

Stage 1

The applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their academic record as well as GATE 2017/2018/2019 scores (not applicable for Non-GATE applicants).

Stage 2

This will be an aptitude test (will cover basic Mathematics, Analytical Abilities and Comprehension Skills). Shortlisted applicants from stages 1 are called for this stage.

Stage 3
