Vacancy for the position of JRF/SRF

A position of JRF/SRF is available in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, IIT Hyderabad to work on a CSIR sponsored project titled “Evolution of nanostructure and mechanical properties during severe plastic deformation of materials: Critical evaluation of the role of solution hardening and stacking fault energy”.

Eligibility: The ideal candidate should be NET/GATE qualified:

B.E./B.Tech. in Metallurgical Engineering having 1st Class and strong background in Physical/Mechanical Metallurgy.

M.E./M.Tech. with knowledge in Physical/Mechanical Metallurgy demonstrated by research publications in major scientific journals.

In addition, the candidate should have Proficiency in scientific writing Proficiency with computers

Final semester B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. students, who have already submitted their thesis, are also eligible.

The upper age limit will be 28 years/32 years for JRF/SRF position as on the day on which the application is made. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/OBC, and women, and physically handicapped candidates.

The position will be available up to 31st March, 2015.
