First time in the history of M.Tech Admission a centralized nationwide Spot round for M.Tech admission is taking place.

Its a great advantage for the deserving students and dis advantage for the student with less score who use to get admission following distribution of students, coinciding of dates etc..

So lets talk about the procedure of NSR.

National Spot Round (NSR)

1. A National Spot Round (NSR) will be conducted after internal sliding by CCMT. Following candidates are eligible for NSR:

• Candidates who have not been allotted a seat in any of the previous 3 rounds.
• Candidates whose seats have been cancelled in any of the previous reporting periods and are still eligible but not yet allotted a seat.
• Candidates who have surrendered their seats.

2. Vacant seats for NSR will be displayed on the CCMT website on 05 July 2015. Candidates willing to participate in NSR should enter choices from the vacant seats between 06 – 08 July 2015.

3. For participating in NSR, first the candidates have to pay Rs 40,000/- (OC/OB) or Rs 10,000/- (SC/ST) using their own computers (through Internet Banking/Credit Card /Debit Card) or from a local bank (through NEFT), between 06 – 08 July 2015.

4. Then, the candidates have to go any Reporting Center for document verification and locking the choices between 06 – 08 July 2015. There will be no automatic locking in NSR. After document verification and choice locking at Reporting Center, a DVN will be issued to the candidates signed by the Reporting Center officials.

5. The NSR allotment will be declared on CCMT website on 12 July 2015.

6. The candidates who are allotted seats in NSR have to complete their provisional admission process by paying the balance institute fee using their own computers (through Internet Banking/Credit Card /Debit Card) or from a local bank (through NEFT) during 13-15 July 2015 and generate the provisional admission letter from CCMT website before 15th July 2015.

7. The candidates are required to go to the allotted institute with the original documents, DVN and provisional admission letter for taking final admission and attending classes as per the academic calendar of the respective Institute. If the classes have already been started, then the candidates should proceed immediately.

8. The candidates who are allotted seats in NSR but do not take admission will LOOSE the paid amount.

For GATE-qualified students

The following procedure will be followed for Spot round counseling for admission to M. Tech. programmes at NIT Durgapur on July 24, 2014.

1. Only GATE-qualified candidates (2013 & 2014) will be considered.
2. Candidates who already registered for CCMT 2014 as well as those who did not register for CCMT 2014 shall be considered.
3. The candidates who already registered for CCMT 2014, including those who have surrendered / withdrawn, will not have to pay any counseling fee.
4. The candidates should visit www.ccmt.in and www.nitdgp.ac.in for the vacancy list at NIT Durgapur to be posted on July 21, 2014 (evening) and accordingly decide to attend the counseling.
5. The candidates who have not registered for CCMT 2014 shall bring a demand draft of Rs 250 (SC & ST) and Rs 500 (others) payable to “NIT Durgapur” at Durgapur towards counseling fee and deposit it at the counseling centre. This fee is non-refundable.
6. All candidates must report at NIT Durgapur on July 24, 2014 during 9 AM – 10.30 AM. Only the candidates reporting within 10.30 AM (with the required bank draft, if applicable) will be allowed to participate in the spot round counseling. Anybody reporting after 10.30 AM shall be debarred from participating in the spot counseling.
7. The database of the candidates who reported for counseling shall be processed and the seats will be allotted in the afternoon as per vacancy.
8. The eligibility criteria for M. Tech admission of NIT Durgapur will be followed. See the Information Brochure of CCMT 2014 for details.
9. The norms of CCMT 2014 will be followed for allotment of seats. See the Information Brochure of CCMT 2014 for details.
10. The selected candidates must take admission immediately after allotment on the same day. In case the admission time conflicts with the banking hour, admission may have to be taken on the next day.
11. Hostel accommodation will be provided to the students other than the residents of Durgapur on August 05, 2014. No accommodation will be made available prior to that. Classes will commence from August 06, 2014.
12. Candidates selected in the spot round will be eligible for scholarship as applicable.
13. No one will be considered in absentia.
14. The candidates must fill their details online at the link available at www.nitdgp.ac.in before reporting at the counseling centre. The said link will be activated on July 21, 2014 (evening).
15. Before filling up the Online Application Form, download Information Brochure CCMT 2014 from CCMT website and M Tech Qualifying Degree Discipline & Code from the Information brochure CCMT 2014.
16. After filling up the Online Application Form, click the Submit Button; it will generate a unique ID of each applicant. Using the Print option print the Application Form.
17. No candidate will be considered for counseling without the Original GATE score-card.

All candidates must bring the following documents (Original & one photocopy). Visit www.ccmt.in for the formats included in the Information Brochure. The candidates will not be considered for Spot counseling if they do not bring the required documents.

• Printout of the Spot Round Online Application Form duly signed by the candidat
• Original GATE score card (2013/2014) (web-copy/photocopy will be invalid) – to be retained by the Institute for successful candidates who are admitted in NIT Durgapur
• Printout of the Application Form (CCMT-2014), if registered for CCMT 2014
• Proof of payment of Application Fee for registration process of CCMT 2014 (Original)
• Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth
• Mark sheet of Class XII
• All semesters Grade/Mark sheets of qualifying examination
• Degree / Provisional certificate, if degree is completed
• Certificate of category (OBC/SC/ST), if applicable as per Government of India must be issued by the competent authority. In case of OBC category, the certificate must be issued on or after April 1, 2014.
• Undertaking by the candidate regarding OBC status in the required format
• Certificate for Persons With Disabilities (PWD), if applicable, issued by the competent authority
• Migration Certificate (to be submitted by September 15, 2014, if not available now)
  5 copies of coloured photographs (Passport size).

Eligibility

• A candidate must have a valid GATE Score of the year 2013 or 2014.
• Eligibility criteria to M.Tech./M.Plan. admission will be 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for Open/OBC category whereas 6.0 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 55% in case of SC/ST candidates in the qualifying degree. For PWD candidates, the eligibility criterion will apply to the category they belong to (Open/OBC/SC/ST). The above mentioned CGPA/Percentage should be aggregate based on all semesters.
• Conversion from CGPA to percentage or vice versa given by individual institute will not be considered / allowed.
• Those candidates who have already taken admission at any Institute through CCMT are not eligible for spot round until they cancel their admission.
• In every programme only certain combinations of eligibility degree disciplines and GATE subject are allowed. The Groups G1 and G2 in Metallurgical & Materials Engineering as well as in Steel Technology have been merged. Please see the degree eligibility matrix given on the MNIT website.

Procedure of Admission

The eligible candidates must register through online portal mentioned above before 5 PM on 22nd July 2014. After successful online registration, a printable PDF version of Spot Admission Registration Form will be generated. Candidates who have registered online will have to personally report with the printed form and documents (original and one set of photocopy) to MNIT Jaipur from 10.30 AM to 11.30 AM on 24-7-2014. Such candidates only will be considered for spot admission against vacant seat as per their GATE score. The candidates who are CCMT registered (i.e. they have already paid the CCMT application fee of Rs. 1750/- for OC, OBC and Rs. 1250/- for SC, ST candidates) need not pay the registration fee again. The other candidates will have to pay the registration fee (Rs. 1750/- for OC, OBC and Rs. 1250/- for SC, ST candidates) by DD drawn in favour of Registrar, MNIT Jaipur payable at Jaipur. The candidate, to whom seat is allotted, has to pay the Institute fee on the same day in the form of DD drawn in favour of Registrar, MNIT Jaipur payable at Jaipur.

Documents Required

Candidates should carry the following original documents and one set of photocopy at the time of reporting:

Note: If the data filled by the candidate during the registration of online application is found to be wrong at the time of verification of the original documents, his/her seat allotment is liable to be cancelled. If the original certificates are not in English/Hindi, English/Hindi version/translation of such certificates, duly certified by the Principal/Director of the passing out institute, will be required during verification of documents. A set of self attested photocopies of above mentioned documents should also be submitted at the time of reporting.

Fee
The candidate, whom the seat is allotted, has to pay the fee as per details mentioned below:

*Categories are OC: General, OB: Other backward class-non creamy layer, SC: Schedule Class, ST: Schedule tribe, PWD: Persons with disability.

The institute fee should be paid in the name of the Registrar, MNIT Jaipur payable at Jaipur.

Separate fee of Rs. 30500/- should be paid to MNIT Mess Council in form of Cash/Demand Draft for Hostel Allotment.

Spot admission for the vacant seats in various M.Tech. programmes at National Institute of Technology, Calicut will be held as per the following schedule:

Eligibility:

Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech degree programme through Spot Admission at NIT Calicut should have completed/passed regular full time B.E./B.Tech. degree in an appropriate branch from an approved Institute/University with minimum 60% marks (or CGPA 6.5/10) in aggregate and for SC/ST candidates 55% marks (or CGPA 6/10) in aggregate in the qualifying examination.Candidates also should have a valid GATE score (2013 or 2014).

Those who have taken admission already through CCMT-2014 process in any Institute and wish to participate in the Spot Admission at NIT Calicut have to cancel their admission before appearing for Spot Admission. A proof of cancellation need to be produced at the time of Spot Round Registration.

Upper age limit for admission to M.Tech programme: 40 years

Vacancy status for spot admission will be displayed in the Institute website on 21-07-2014.

Registration for Spot Admission : The eligible candidates should register for spot admission in person on 23.07.2014 (Wednesday) between 9.00 a.m. to 10.00 a.m. Those who come after 10.00 a.m. will not be allowed for registration.

Selection Process: Seats will be allotted to the eligible candidates based on GATE score (2013 or 2014) only. In the case of candidates having same GATE score, following criterion will be used in the stated order of preference.

• Candidates having GATE score in 2013 will be given preference over candidate having score of 2014.
• If years of GATE score is same then the candidate who was born earlier as compared to other candidates with tie, will be given preference.
• In highly unlikely event of their birth date being same i.e. same date of birth with same GATE score and year then preference will be given to that candidate who has passed qualifying exam in earlier academic year.

Original Documents In case a candidate gets a seat, he/she has to pay the institute fee and produce the following documents in original for verification, failing which his/her seat allotment will be cancelled and that seat will be allotted to the next registered candidate in the list.

Candidates are advised to check both CCMT website (www.ccmt.in) and NIT Goa website (www.nitgoa.ac.in) on 20thJuly 2014 whether any seat is left vacant (in respective category- General/OBC/SC/ST/PWD) for filling up through spot round.

1. All interested candidates desirous of participating in the spot round will register in the M.Tech admission cell in person on 28thJuly 2014 between 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. No advance application for admission against spot round will be entertained.
2. Selection against spot round will be based on the VALID GATE SCORE.
3. All Gate qualified candidates are eligible for the spot round irrespective of CCMT registration process.
4. Candidates, who have already been admitted to an Institute through CCMT-2014, are not eligible for Spot Round. However, if they wish to participate in the Spot Round, they have to withdraw the admission prior to the Spot Round.
5. All interested candidates should register for Spot Round along with Demand Draft (DD) for the requisite Institute Fee as per the Fee Structure and the schedule given below.

After 11:00 AM, NO APPLICATION WILL BE RECEIVED IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

2. Candidates who have already been admitted to an Institute through CCMT-2014 are not eligible for Spot Round. However, if they wish to participate in the Spot Round, they have to withdraw the admission prior to Spot Round.
3. All interested candidates should register for Spot Round and submit Institute Fee (if selected for admission) strictly as per the above schedule.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

1) All Gate qualified candidates (irrespective of CCMT-2014 registration) can appear in the spot round.

2) All rules and regulations of CCMT-2014 (please refer www.ccmt.in for details) including minimum eligibility criteria with special condition of SVNIT, Surat) will be applicable for institute spot round admission. However, special minimum eligibility condition of SVNIT, Surat may be relaxed for PWD candidates subject to approval by Institute Higher Authority.

3) All candidates are advised to bring institute fee of Rs.53,000/- in form of Bank DD in favour of “The Director, SVNIT, Surat” or CASH to be deposited in the Account Section of the Institute as per the notified schedule of spot round of SVNIT (if selected for admission).

4) The candidate should produce the following documents in original and attach one photocopy along with the application form –

• (i) Withdrawal letter / Cancellation letter issued by CCMT (Applicable for candidates who are registered in CCMT-2014).
• (ii) Photo ID proof as per Govt. of India norms
• (iii) Class X (High School) Board Certificate as proof of date of birth
